With a new acquired degree in Irish Language and Literature Leonne Lindsay from Plumbridge joined Besom Productions in December 2006 as an Irish Language Fund Trainee under the auspices of Northern Irish Screen. She had already gained wide experience of many areas of broadcasting in placements with Channel 9 & Westway Films in Derry and on the set of the Irish language drama `Kings’. Her sound grounding with Besom led to her full time engagement on 4 June 2007 as Trainee Production Manager on maternity cover for Edel Harkin.
Leonne has worked on many of the company projects from the Irish language documentary Ocras through to Bloody Sunday-A Derry Diary, Wave Riders and Paradiso. Her rapidly increasing skills and fluency in the Irish language skills has led to her appointment as full time Production Manager steering the Irish language documentary RUA directed by Mary Crumlish.
