Edel Harkin joined the permanent staff of Besom Productions in June 2005 as Production Manager. Since then she has worked on all of the company productions from development to production. Her Filmography includes Wave Riders, Bloody Sunday-A Derry Diary, The Hunger Strike, Ocras, Rua, Paradiso and The Iceberg Project.
Previously Edel gained valuable administrative and financial accounting experience with accounting firm EF McCambridge & Co, Westcare Business Services and the University of Ulster at Magee Campus. She is a highly qualified software specialist having been employed from 1999 to 2003 in the computer software industry working for many key agencies such as VistaTEC Ltd., Dublin as Software Localisation Engineer, the Corel Corporation, Dublin as Quality Assurance Specialist testing Corel graphics products and Transware Plc. Dublin as Technical Integrator Engineer translating versions of SmartForce computer based training packages. Edel is Secretary of the Company and director of the Board of Besom Productions Ltd. She is currently on maternity leave having developed baby Robyn to production stage with her first appearance on 2 May 2007. Edel is expected to return to Besom in the autumn of 2007.
