| Besom was established as a private limited company in October 1992 by Margo Harkin who has worked in the film & television business since 1984 as a Company Manager and as an award winning Producer/Director. The company is based in the vibrant city of Derry in Northern Ireland and currently has two directors – Chairperson and Managing Director Margo Harkin, and Company Secretary & Production Manager Edel Harkin. We operate with a core staff of three and enjoy a wide range of working relationships on individual productions with the excellent freelance crew and industry facilities available throughout Ireland and the UK.
We specialise in documentary, drama, arts and educational programming. We produce work for BBC, RTÉ, TG4, Channel 4 Television, and international broadcasters. Besom sees itself as a European company and welcomes co-production enquiries.
